It’s a rainy day and the air is full of moisture. Water rolls off of the Palm Trees and I sit in the red room of my house which has thirteen windows in it. There is a blue couch and a coffee table that holds my feet. Goddess is asleep on her bench beside me. The desk is cluttered with paper work that demands attention but is being ignored. It is a day to call in sick, stay in bed, read a book or just stare at the rain falling on the world.
The house is dark and I am content. Goddess is content too. There is no need to move. It is a time to simply be.
It is not cold so I have on running shorts and a long sleeve tee shirt. Music plays from the other room but it carries a silence with it somehow.
It is a time to take things in.
It is a time to recharge.
It is a time to be still.
It is prayerful.
So today I will embrace the quiet.
