It's a big day.
My son Jeremy is getting married.
He is bringing Terenca Sullins into our family and together they are bringing Ava and Nina too.
If that's not enough it's also Laurel's birthday!
She 11 years old, full of wisdom and crawled out of bed at the crack of dawn to start celebrating loudly over coffee with me.
Sarah, Maddie and Cassidy all remain asleep in our hotel room.
My life is overrun with girls.
Of course Jeremy's is too ... so we can support each another.
Though his sister Kristen reminded us how much support we're going to need when she ... and I'm not making this up ... put a lampshade on her head at the party last night.
My daughter Chelsea was there too with her husband Sam who seems shell shocked at the number of girls.
I think Jeremy and I are going to have to conduct an "intervention" with Sam.
Anyway, it's a big day!
"What a long, strange trip it's been," the Grateful Dead sang, "for us to get here ... but well worth it!
Happy Birthday Laurel!
Welcome Home Jeremy, Terenca, Ava and Nina!
I wonder how long I have to wait for Sarah to wake up and start celebrating with me.
