Resting on my laurels

Maybe it's because today is Good Friday and the book I'm reading right now has Jesus being crucified all over again when once really was enough.

Perhaps it's the song by The Cure that keeps running through my head. "I don't care if Monday's blue, Tuesday's grey and Wednesday too; Thursday I don't care about, It's Friday I'm in love."

It could be Jeremy's fault because he and Marie arrived last night and we ended up at Doc's Bar listening to music and planning Easter.

And the damn winter refuses to completely give way to Spring so its too chilly to celebrate the risen son properly ... outside and sans of clothing.

The thing I'm working on for work is proving to be quite challenging and difficult to accomplish, now reaching that point where I hate looking at it because its coming along at a snail's pace and I like to do things fast.

The time/space continuum may be off kilter again.

Sarah is also a lovely distraction wearing tight jeans and her hair on top of her head. It would be fun to lust ... I mean hang out with her.

I am a beach bum at heart and I don't feel like doing anything.

Today I am easily distracted

I've worked pretty much every day for the past few weeks and have actually gotten a lot done. I should rest on my laurels today.

I think I will.

Sometimes in life, you just have to give yourself permission to say, "Screw it!"

And there's really nothing wrong with that.
