It is my home away from home, I love my friends who own it and those who work there, the little group of others who join me each morning and the crazy jump start kick starts to my day.
For almost three decades I've started my days there.
Sometimes when my car's being serviced or repaired, I have coffee at the McDonald's on Whitemarsh Island.
Let me be clear ... I. HATE. McDONALDS!!!! ... though our girls love it so I've been more in the past few years in the past several lifetimes combined.
I do like the "CAUTION HOT" warning printed on the Styrofoam cups as if no one realizes coffee is H.O.T.
It stems from a lawsuit of course when a lady spilled hot coffee on herself in the drive through, sued McDonald's for a gazillion dollars and ... WON!
Sometimes stupid people win big.
That's why it says "Caution Hot" on McD's cups.
Regardless I am sitting in another place for coffee that I do not enjoy ... Starbucks.
The girls L.O.V.E. Starbucks ... not the coffee but the frappies ... because of the way they look ... so I have to go sometimes ... but I never order anything.
I have a meeting with a guy who loves Starbucks so here I sit ... sipping bottled water because ... thankfully I've already had coffee at The Breakfast Club this morning.
But ... the promise of business is almost like actually having business so you have to work at it.
It's best to understand that last sentence over coffee.
