The Gift Of Morning

The morning sun blazes through the Palm Tree with the oyster eyes, coconut bra and grass skirt making me squint to see the computer screen.

Alicia Bridges is “Loving the Night Life” on Sirius XM but I love mornings.

I always have.

I suppose Saterday morning cartoons started it all but I love morning sunrises, birds singing in the predawn, sunlight dancing in green leafs, bacon aroma in the air and the chance to start over every single day.

Sarah likes to sleep late and that's wonderful but ... lovingly laying in bed beside her ... a single bird starts singing in the predawn turning of black into grey and I listen through the open windows.

Soon, a chorus of birds join in.

Bullfrogs add bass.

Cicada bring violins.

The Ocean starts to bubble.

The sky turns purple ... then a dark blue ... and God finger paints the sky with pinks and reds.

The sun rises.

Everything is reborn as Squirrels dance, red headed woodpeckers peck and finches feed.

It's the best Church service I've ever attended.

And I do my very best to never miss.
