A Constant state of fear

Goddess and Winston, the little gay dog, live in a constant state of fear.

The beautiful Goddess stays stoned most of the time so she doesn't have to deal with the constant trauma. She's just tries to remain calm.

Winston, the little gay dog, is wearing a sweater vest that says, "Just another Pig in a wig" and is crazy tense about everything. If I shut the Fridge he jumps as if I'd shot a gun. He chews his toenails and remains close to Sarah all of the time.

Gypsy, the gender confused cat, has been in hiding since she arrived, only coming upstairs when Goddess has passed out. I think she's stealing his stash before disappearing into the darkness of his closet.

They are worried scared of I'm going to write about.

Every day, it seems, there are some kind of ramifications.

If I use bad words, my Mother gets on to me.

Writing about my Guardian Angel infuriates the Religious Right who condemn me to hell for not adhering to their beliefs.

The Humane Society has me on their "Most Wanted" List for writing about the Cat Lady next door, her gazillion herd of feral cats and her constant parade of buff lovers.

Regardless of the topic, someone gets upset.

At the same time, there are lots of people who appreciate my writing so they share them, publish them elsewhere and even use them as part of their Sunday School lessons. They're being published and will soon be out in the various book formats in today's world. Almost daily I receive requests to write about this or that.

What do you do?

I'm damned if I do and I'm damned if I don't.

What's got Goddess, Winston, the little gay dog, and Gypsy, the gender confused cat so upset is I might write about the Island Police Department. Whenever I do they get ticketed for barking. Once they received three tickets in one day! They're scared.

That's why I write about most everything ... except the Police Department.

Because we live in a constant state of fear too.
