Another Tybee Night

Parties happen spontaneously on this island.

You just never k
now when another good one is going to break out.

Some are planned though they never adhere to one while others explode out of nowhere.

I believe it's a combination of hot weather, salt air, abundance of natural and unnatural lubricants, good live music, ocean breezes, Subtropical vegetation and the fact that less clothing is necessary on Tybee Island.

Throw in the half of the people here are running to something, while the other half run away from something and ... well you just never know whose bumping into who.

Plus nobody's really in charge.

The Clergy and the elected officials pretend they are and the rest of us allow them to believe such foolishness. They condemn half of us to hell or pass yet another ordinance which just makes the rest of us elect another bunch to overturn them whenever the next election rolls around.

The current members of "The Elected" think they're smart because they now stagger their terms so we only throw one-half at a time.

The member of the Populace have come up with our counter move and boy will they be surprised when we pull the trigger! (I really can't say anything at this point other than a dump truck full of white rock, "Clothing Optional" bumper stickers, alcohol, and Jesus are all involved.)

The current configuration of Clergy on the island believe they have it all under control. The rest of us aren't saying anything because it's nice to see them believe in something.

Last night at Julia-Just-Julia's, not to be confused with Julia Pearce who cannot sing nor does she have any rhythm, there was a party.

On a gorgeous summer night next to the marsh with stars dancing overhead we sang, danced, talked, and ... played with a snake. Julia-Just-Julia really knows how to throw a party!

It was for her "Mum" who came from England and her daughter who came from somewhere else.

No one knew about the snake.

Sarah and I had a blast.

I'm worried about her though.

She's still in bed ... and I have no idea where the snake is.
